Our Story
Complete Housing is a company registered in The United States Of America with its main office and subsidiary company, Complete Housing LTD, located in Ghana.
Its owned by Kwaku Gyamfi Awuah and Kojo Mienza. We decided to kick start in Ghana due to both the high need for quality affordable housing and the growing
attractiveness of Ghana internationally.
Tackling the Affordable Housing Crisis
In recent years the real estate market in Ghana, especially in Accra, has taken off. While it’s great to see beautiful luxurious properties popping up everywhere, the downside is that the property prices have become unaffordable for the average Ghanaian. When comparing the average cost of housing to average income, Accra has become the second most expensive city in the world, while at the same time the city’s population and housing needs continue to grow. We created this company to help tackle this problem, and provide a comfortable affordable option for the average Ghanaian.
A Solution for Land Disputes
Another major problem in the Ghanaian real estate market is the issue of land litigation and ownership. Ownership disputes often arise due to the parallel systems of power, the traditional authority of regional monarchies versus the institutional authority of the democratic republic. The ownership of land by monarchs often conflicts with what is recorded at local land commissions. A party may sell land based on ownership rights from one authority, but this sale conflicts with the ownership recorded by the other. Additionally, encroachment on land can occur if the land is not fenced off and developed upon. We came up with The Complete Mobile Pod to provide a way for people to build quickly and cheaply to protect their land from encroachment, and also be able to speedily move the property in the case of a land dispute that could endanger their housing structure.
What is The Complete Mobile Pod?
The Complete Mobile Pod is a studio style home unit that measures 25 Square Meters. It consists of:
• a porch
• a mini hall/living area
• a kitchen
• a bathroom
• a sleeping area

The idea for this unit was inspired by make shift structures mostly found in the low income areas of Ghana called kiosks.
These structures are typically made of wood and/or aluminum and are used as affordable shelter for homes or small businesses.
The affordability and usability of this housing style inspired us to develop a more enhanced and aesthetically pleasing version
while still keeping the cost low.

These homes will not be constructed using the typical system – no concrete and cement here. These homes will use wood and steel as the framework of the building, plaster board, ply wood, tiles, and hardwood floors for the interior finishing. Using these materials allows the home to be mobile and at the same time durable and comfortable. Finally, the exterior will have AlucoBond® cladding with wood accenting on the roof of the porch.
Efficient Build Time
We designed the Complete Mobile Pod with optimal building speed in mind. We chose materials and a building method that is less time and labor intensive than traditionally used methods, and due to this, a Complete Mobile Pod can be built in less than 90 days.
Uses for Complete Mobile Pods
These structures are uniquely designed to be highly versatile. They can be placed alongside existing homes and used as additional housing for guests or other purposes. Complete Mobile Pods can be used for long term rentals, for short term Airbnb style rentals, hotel or hostel facilities, tourist accommodation, homes, or even offices
